PROBLEM
Charging stations for electric vehicles, or EVs, can be scarce in under-served communities. Transit routes for commercial EVs may be so long that vehicles need additional charging in between stations.
SOLUTION
Purdue researchers have developed a patent-pending, in-road wireless charging innovation for consumer and commercial EVs. This technology will enable wireless charging of EVs while driving, without the need to stop to charge.
