Carol Larcher

Assistant Director of Intellectual Property– Life Sciences

Carol graduated with a B.S. in Biology from Murray State University.  She received a Ph.D. in Biology from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago.  She has 30 years of experience in private practice — from small and mid-sized intellectual property firms to large general practice firms.

  • How would you explain thunder and lightning to a frightened child?  That’s just Mother Nature having a temper tantrum.  She’s mad about something but no need to worry — she’ll get over it soon.
  • If you were granted an interview with Albert Einstein, what would be your first question for him?  So…what did you and Marilyn talk about?
  • Which of your many talents would you perform in a talent show?  The one talent that would be guaranteed to clear the room quickly (stage fright, anyone?).   I would independently raise my eyebrows…repeatedly.
  • Write out in three steps what your plan of action would be if a mouse just ran by your door.
    • Grab the picnic basket.
    • Put a block of cheese, some crackers, and a chilled bottle of wine in the basket.
    • Invite the mouse outside for a picnic.
