As a Senior Intellectual Property Paralegal for the Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC),Kim brings over twenty-five years of IP experience to OTC and serves as a knowledgeable resource for the team and provides ongoing paralegal support. Kim works closely with the IP Patent Managers throughout U.S. and foreign patent prosecution. Her responsibilities include preparation of documents and filings, research, and resolving IP issues with the US Patent Office, inventors, and licensees.
Before joining OTC, Kim worked at large law firms in Indianapolis assisting attorneys and clients in intellectual property, litigation, and corporate matters. Before entering the legal realm, Kim was an entrepreneur and owned and operated two small businesses.
Kim holds a BSG degree from Indiana University-Purdue University, which includes her paralegal studies. Kim earned the Certified Paralegal and the Registered Paralegal credentials through NALA and the NFPA, two national paralegal associates. Kim previously served as a board member of the Indiana Paralegal Association and is a Past-President of the Indianapolis Bar Association Executive Paralegal Committee.
