Patent agent-Life Sciences, Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC). As a patent agent, Manjiri’s role involves protecting the intellectual property developed at Purdue University. Her responsibilities are to evaluate Purdue inventions, prepare and prosecute Patent applications.
Manjiri holds double Bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and Pharmaceuticals and fine Chemicals from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. She is a registered patent agent for both US and India. Prior to OTC, she has worked as a solo practitioner (patent agent). She also has experience of working in the IP departments of various pharmaceutical industries and has filed patents for drug discovery and process research. Before moving into the IP field, she worked as scientist in the drug discovery center of Piramal Life Sciences.
